HELLO EVERYBODY!
My name is Mathieu Strobbe and I’m from Belgium. I’m a solo budget traveler always on the look-out for new adventures. In other words, I always try to find the cheapest way to explore the most beautiful places. Furthermore, I have a passion for writing, photography and I love experiencing the local life. In a nutshell, on my blog you can expect a variety of subjects ranging from everything travel-related to human-interest stories, and from in-depth analysis to photography series. If these topics interest you, I’m sure you’ll enjoy reading my blog.
I have created this space while backpacking through India. During previous travels (North & South-America, Indonesia and Europe) I have always taken photographs – mostly on a disposable camera – and jotted down notes. But I have never done something with that content. Never had a central place for it to be published.
So, here we are. At the origin story of Bennu the Bird. I have chosen this name for a specific reason. If you wish to know why, read more about it here.
This blog will serve as an online archive for my creative output as I travel. Hopefully, it will be more than that and inspire/ help some of you to do the same.
